About Us
As a young family ourselves we have been through the trials and tribulations of being first time buyers in London and know how daunting the process can be.
This was a contributing factor to starting our business and in the last 15 years we have learnt a lot: we have dealt with leases as leaseholders and as freeholders; we have experienced planning, built extensions, conversions and new builds; and we have dealt with housing trusts, councils and private landlords.
Across our combined teams we have over 75 years of property developing experience.
This knowledge and experience has shown us that it’s essential to redesign, reconfigure & restore period buildings which are utilising the full potential of a plot for our modern way of living, without losing any of the character these buildings offer. This thought process goes into every property we develop.
As a sign of our commitment to buyers and the confidence in our developments, we offer all our properties with a Professional Consultants Certificate (PCC) which means they have been independently assessed for defects and quality. This certificate also enables all our properties to be classed as ‘initial occupancy’ which means they qualify for ‘new build’ mortgage products.
Being local SE22 residents also means we have great knowledge of the areas we develop in and are always available to answer any questions our buyers may have during the purchase stage and once moved in. We view this personal service as one of our strongest qualities and as can be seen from our testimonials, our buyers all share this view.
Our Ethos
We believe that first time buyers should have the opportunity to live in great quality, authentic accommodation, not only making them feel part of a residential street but the local community as a whole.
Buying your first home should be a joy. You’ve waited; you’ve saved; you’ve made sacrifices; you’ve researched boroughs, neighbourhoods, streets, amenities; you’ve gone on endless viewings. Eventually, you find somewhere you want to call home.
From that point on, it should be plain-sailing until the day you collect the keys. Instead, this is when the stress and bewilderment really kick in. No one is on your side and no one makes things easy for you. It’s an agonisingly slow process costing you sleep, money and finger nails.
Buying through a large scheme only adds complications. Your new build home is likely to be of dubious quality, the same old high-rise block on a main road and poorly finished. When you come to sell, you’ll probably find it hasn’t performed well as an asset.
Why should anyone have to put up with this treatment, simply for daring to want a home of their own? In our view, the biggest problems lie with developers and agents, wholly focused on the transaction and not the people involved.
We don’t think that’s right or fair. Homes are for people; they should be created and sold with those people in mind.
